Based on our experience and feedback from users of our equipment, we
compiled an ALEXYS recommendation for the analysis of for the analysis
of inorganic anions bromide, iodide, chloride, cyanide and sulphide. Analysis
of these ions is not only relevant for water quality and environmental
considerations but also for quality control of food- and beverages and

ALEXYS Iodide Analyzer |
For the analysis of anions we selected the Flexcell electrochemical
cell with exchangeable silver working electrode. The electrode material
tends to vanish over the years, in the process of amperometric detection.
Exchanging an electrode disc only takes a few minutes. The HyREF
is completely maintenance free. The ALEXYS system comprises the following
parts:
- AS 100 autosampler, cool
- LC 110 HPLC pump
- OR 110 organiser rack
- Clarity data acquisition software
- DECADE II electrochemical detector
- Flexcell with Ag WE, HyREF
- For iodide in milk a DECADE II with 5V option and a MD Flexcell
is used
