ALEXYS Bisphenol A

Antec Leyden has developed an integrated system solution for the analysis of Bisphenol A in drinking water or beverages from polymer bottles. The system uses a 10-port valve for automated sample enrichment to improve detection limits.

Bisphenol A

  • Automated sample enrichment for better detection limits
  • Excellent reproducibility and linearity

Configuration

For the analysis of Bisphenol A an AS 100 cool with 1 mL injection loop and a 10-port injection valve was used. The HPLC system uses an additional pump for sample enrichment on a pre-column. A 2mm column has been used at a flow rate of 200 uL/min which results in less chemical waste. A flowcell with glassy carbon electrode and HyREF was used for analysis. The HyREF is completely maintenance free, and compatible with high modifier percentages. The ALEXYS system comprises the following parts:

  • AS 100 autosampler with 10port valve, cool
  • LC 110 HPLC pump (2)
  • OR 110 organiser rack
  • Clarity data acquisition software
  • DECADE II electrochemical detector
  • Flow cell with GC WE, HyREF
