ALEXYS LC-EC 'Microdialysis'
using OX-RED for additional selectivity

Antec Leyden has developed integrated system solutions for the analysis of noradrenaline, dopamine, serotonin and metabolites in microdialysates. Microdialysis systems are optimised for analysis of small sample volumes at picomolar detection limits.

Table 1. Microdialysis System Solutions

Part no. Description
180.0072 Nitrotyrosine - DCC
180.0068 Disulfides I - DCC for RED-OX of (di-)glutathione, cysteine, homocysteine
180.0064 Microdialysis III - DCC using OX-RED mode

Read more about systems for disulfides or nitrotyrosine. These systems use the same configuration.

Configuration

For the analysis of microdialysates we selected the VT03 electrochemical cell. This cell not only has an excellent reproducibility but also the best possible detection sensitivity. A reactor cell is used for oxidation prior to reductive detection. We use a 1 mm ID column at 50 µL/min.

The ALEXYS system comprises the following parts:

  • AS 100 autosampler, cool, micro
  • LC 110 HPLC pump
  • OR 110 organiser rack
  • Clarity data acquisition software
  • DECADE II electrochemical detector, DCC
  • VT cell with GC WE, ISAAC
  • Reactor cell

  • 221-006 - Ox-Red analysis for selectivity improvement using the DECADE II with Dual Cell Control

ALEXYS
'Microdialysis III'

with 150 x 1 mm column, reactor and VT cell. The DECADE II has dual cell control (DCC).

Other microdialysis configurations are available.
